We have been overwhelmed with the response to the 'retirement' of Golly and the launch of the new Roald Dahl collector scheme. As a result we are dealing with the huge amount of correspondence we have received but we would ask for your understanding and patience in this matter.

Robertson's Farewell 'Golden Golly' Badge:
By the end of September, we will be issuing a letter to our top 5,000 lifetime collectors, inviting them to apply for a 'Farewell Golly' badge. Each badge is 9ct. gold plated and comes in a box with a certificate. 5000 'Farewell Golly' badges have been produced, in the light of anticipated increased demand, an amount well in excess of the usual number of 'special edition' Golly badges produced.
We will only be issuing the 'Farewell Golly' badges to those collectors who received a leaflet and have applied using the order form. However any badges remaining from this will be offered to other collectors on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to be considered for a 'Farewell Golly' badge please write to the address below. Your details will be kept on file in the order they are received and will contact you in due course should there be the opportunity to purchase a 'Farewell Golly'. Please do NOT send any money/cheque/postal orders with your letter.

Whilst the new Roald Dahl badges will be available from October 2001 onwards Golly badges can still be collected until Easter 2002, by sending in the tokens in the usual way. In fact Golly tokens will still be present on all jars of Robertson's mincemeat this Christmas. However we will not be re-ordering stocks of Golly badges and will continue to sell the badges until all current stocks are exhausted.
